Berlin’s Business landscape quickly evolved, adding over 115 ribbon cuttings since September 2020.
The 120 Business Growth /Celebrations / Ribbon Cuttings has expanded the following categories:
- Retail/Service by 39
- Health/Fitness/Medical/Family 31
- Food/Beverage 26
- Manufacturing/Telecom/Construction 16
And new Developments 05
- Experiential 03
Additionally, of those who expanded/launched/opened in Berlin since September 2020,
- 94% of them are local businesses (not associated with national chains)
- 51% are women-owned
- 30% are cottage businesses
Including February 2025 data, it seems we have approximately 2 businesses opening each month however, when it comes to business there is some seasonality to it therefore there were some months that were slower than others.
