The Library is celebrating the season with our annual Gingerbread House Contest!
ALL AGES can participate! Voting will take place at the library as well as online.
Doesn’t fit in your budget?
The library has a limited number of gingerbread house kits available on a first come, first serve basis. Kits will be available at the Adult Reference Desk beginning Friday, November 21st.

Categories
To keep everything fair, we have two categories.
Gingerbread: adults, teens, groups, businesses
Children’s Gingerbread: individuals or groups age 10 and younger
Construction Guidelines
- Gingerbread houses must be constructed primarily of edible materials and icing
- Bases for the projects must not exceed 24 inches by 24 inches.
- YES! You can use store-bought gingerbread kits.
- No electricity may be used.
Entries must have a card attached to the bottom that includes the following information:
- Category ( gingerbread / children’s gingerbread )
- Names of all contestant
- Phone number
- Email address
Want your gingerbread house back?
You must pick up any items on Saturday, December 21 or Monday, December 23. If you cannot make either of those days, please speak with a staff member. Anything left behind will be donated or discarded.
Please keep in mind that the library is closed for Christmas, which means we’ll be closed December 24-25.
